What these terms cover

This website lets families who have had a consultation with us complete their enrolment: fill in the enrolment form, sign the agreement, pay the enrolment fee and save a card for the tutoring package. These terms cover your use of the website only.

The tutoring itself, including prices, payments, cancellations and refunds, is governed by the enrolment agreement you review and sign on this website. If anything here seems to conflict with that agreement, the agreement applies.

Your permission to use the website

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use this website to complete your own family's enrolment and to view and download your signed agreement. The administration area is for Tutor Doctor Burlington staff only.

Your enrolment link

The link we send you is personal to your family and carries the package we discussed. Please don't share it. If you think someone else has used it, or you received it by mistake, contact us and we will cancel it. Links expire after a set time; if yours has, just ask for a new one.

Please don't

• Enter information you know to be false, or enrol someone without their parent or guardian's authority.
• Try to change the price, hours or plan in a link. Links are signed, so a changed link will simply stop working.
• Try to access other families' information or the administration area, or probe, scan or overload the website.
• Use automated tools to access the website.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's secure page, and we never see or store your full card number. Your card is saved only for the payments you authorise on that page and in your enrolment agreement.

Our bookkeeping connection to QuickBooks

This website connects to Escarpment Education Inc.'s own QuickBooks Online company, and to no one else's, to record an invoice and the payments for each enrolment. It is not offered to other QuickBooks users. The connection can be switched off at any time from our administration area or from QuickBooks. QuickBooks never receives your email address or phone number and is never used to send you anything. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what it does receive.

Your information

How we collect, use, share and protect personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

Availability

We work to keep the website available and working correctly, but it may occasionally be unavailable, for example during maintenance. If it isn't working, call us on (905) 226-8590 and we will complete your enrolment another way.

Names and logos

Tutor Doctor and its logo are trademarks of the Tutor Doctor franchisor, used by Escarpment Education Inc. under its franchise agreement. The content of this website may not be copied except to keep a copy of your own agreement.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for this website to the extent the law makes us responsible. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or any other law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. Changes to these website terms never change an enrolment agreement you have already signed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
